How it works

Each site's home page is opened in a real Chrome browser in London, as a first-time visitor with no cookies. Every network request is recorded and grouped by the company that owns the domain. Requests that happen before anything is clicked count as before you agree. Then the cookie banner's accept button is clicked, and any new companies count as after you accept. A second, separate visit presses Reject all instead: companies contacted for the first time after that count as after you reject, leaving out consent platforms (which record your choice) and infrastructure such as CDNs and fonts. “No button” means the banner offered accept but no one-click reject. The site itself and its own domains aren't counted.

It's a snapshot of one visit from one place: other pages, other countries and logged-in visitors can see different results. Some early contacts are normal, such as the cookie banner provider, fonts or security services. The index shows what was contacted, not whether it was lawful. More on the rules.
